I have always been moved by images of the cosmos transmitted by the Hubble telescope. The immensity of the universe is profound and beautiful. The imagery in this group of paintings borrow from forms and colors seen in space, combined with inspiration from aboriginal dot painting. Making dot marks on a painting requires intent and focus. It is a beautiful way to insert prayer into an image. The dots in consort create an energy of their own.
